Post giving us hints through pictures about their new film, Sui Dhaaga- Made In India, the makers of Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma unveiled the first look of the two actors from the film. The two are seen smiling and blushing and blooming and totally rocking the still.

Though not much is known about the movie, we know it is a love story set in India’s heartland. Varun and Anushka have undergone a drastic transformation to play Mauji and Mamta, respectively, in Sui Dhaaga. The two actors can be seen sporting never-seen-before looks in the film. Their looks are certainly going to become a massive talking point given how authentic and perfect they are basis the milieu of the film.

In the first two pictures, we see Varun wearing a typical desi, cream printed shirt along with brown pants, while Anushka sits behind him in a purple and mustard coloured saree. Varun is seen donning a moustache for the first time, while we see Sindoor on Anushka’s forehead, like, literally. Both the stars even sport different hairdos and we have to say that they completely look like that they have come from a village. Quite clearly the duo has gotten into the skin of their characters.

Sharing the picture on their official handle, the Sui Dhaaga team also revealed the name of Varun and Anushka’s character – Mauji and Mamta.

For the uninitiated, Sui Dhaaga – Made In India is a film about finding love and respect through self-reliance. It is a heart-warming story that is rooted in the Indian milieu and celebrates the spirit of self-reliance. The film’s plot is inspired by the hugely acclaimed Make In India campaign.

Varun and Anushka have also been paired for the first time and with the film being directed by Sharat Katari under the Yash Raj Films banner, everyone is quite eager to watch Sui Dhaaga – Made in India. Produced by Maneesh Sharma, the film is slated to release on September 28.
