Navratras are observed twice a year for 9 days each by people of Hindu religion across the world. This year Chaitra Navratra also known as Vasanta Navratra began on March 28, 2017 and will go on till April 5, 2017.
These are auspicious 9 days when Hindu goddess Shakti is worshiped. Since goddess Shakti has many morphological forms, each of her avatar is worshiped on each of the nine days.
